ost people think about the presence we bring to a Renaissance Fair whenever the Saint Maximilian Landsknechte are brought to mind. The Fähnlein brings a lot to a Renaissance Fair. Whether we are drilling with our 10 or 16 foot long pikes, providing free fencing lessons to children, performing skits with other guilds, demonstrating period cooking, exemplifying the crafts of the kampfrauen, playing toss the ring around the codpiece, guarding the King or Queen, or leading a procession with our talented flag bearer and drummer, there is much fun that we mercenaries bring to the festival.
